My brother and sister-in-law were initially very hesitant to putting in stair runners. Fred made the process easy by bringing carpet samples when he came to do the measurements, and scheduling installers promptly. The installers were professional, courteous and did a superb job!

They were so pleased with the results that they took photos to share with the kids right away on the beautiful results! All the kids were quite impressed...Everyone was happy!

He quoted us up front and provided options over messenger. The team arrived on time, did the installation very fast and neatly even cleaned up before they left. The carpet looks beautiful and we are so happy with the speedy turnaround despite the city being on lockdown.

Just the responsiveness and friendliness is great so far. I think I may go with Thayer after the estimate appointment.

I called Fred for the first time and he called me right back (others didn't).
I explained that we removed carpet from our stairs but had enough remnants from when the carpet was installed over 20 years ago to do all 18 stairs. Fred gave me a fair price over the phone right then after I described the demensions. He arranged to do the work within 2 days - WOW! That's service!

He arrived early to inspect the site make sure all would be ok and then came back right on time with his installer Jose. Jose was terrific. He worked non-stop but had to come back the next morning to finish the job. Early again. He did wonderful work and Fred and Jose were great to work with. I recommend Fred Thayer Carpets - 10 stars.
